Beautiful Surprise
1 NovI came home to this beautiful bouquet of roses today. When I asked my amazing boyfriend what the occasion was he said “just because.” Talk about the best reason ever!! After going to 2 stores he put the arrangement together himself. Isn’t he crafty ;P And they’re my 2 favorite colors 🙂
Take note boys: girls love getting flowers for no reason.
My 1st Time Making Lasagna
8 JulI haven’t had homemade lasagna since I lived with mom and I miss it. So Chris thought I should try making it myself.
So far I have the hamburger cooked and noodles are boiling. Mozzarella cheese is sliced.
I added some of the sauce to the hamburger and put a thin layer on the first layer of noodles along with some of the cheese.
All of the layers have been assembled. Now for some tin foil to lock in the moisture and it’s time for the oven.
It came out looking and tasting like a lasagna so I think I did pretty good 🙂
Things to remember for next time….
For a lasagna that size, I probably only need to cook half the box of noodles, or I’ll end up with this again.
And straining them before I try to make the layers might help with avoiding my fingers getting burnt. Ouch!
Zebra Friday
29 MarHey everyone. Just thought I’d share a few pics from yesterday since I got several compliments on my look. Everyone loved my simple French braid. (I think it’s because it looks similar to the zebra print). And a few girls compare my heels to what movie stars wear. I’ll take it! 🙂

Southern Wedding
28 FebAny woman knows that while we do grow up and develop our own personal sense of style, our dads and grandpas never want to admit this fact. In their eyes, we will always be 8 years old and wanting another piggyback ride.
So, keeping this in mind, my cousin is getting married in a few shorts weeks and I haven’t seen my family in the past 3 years. In that time, I have done a LOT of growing up. I’ve dyed my hair blonde (which I had been wanting to do since I was 8 years old) to black and back to blonde, I’ve been to different parts of the world, and my sense of style has done a complete 180. I have gone from being a teenager to becoming a young woman.
So, when it came to picking out an outfit for the wedding, I was met with a few definite challenges. I had to find something my family would approve of (not too short and not showing too much cleavage), something that’s not too hot for Spring in Mississippi, something that’s not too long (the wedding’s down a back country road), not pink (the wedding’s color is David’s Bridal watermelon), but something that would still show off my personal sense of style.
To make things even more challenging, I had a few of my own personal preferences: it had to be something bright. I’m tired of seeing everyone in all these dark colors…it’s depressing. I needed corked wedged non-suede heels (it’s outside, it could rain, and if suede gets wet and muddy it’s ruined. Not to mention that I’m not a big fan of espadrilles – one snag and they’re done).
So, this is what my niece and I came up with….

In front of Atlantis, Nassua, Bahamas. I was going to swim with sharks, but it ended up raining and it was mating season….so that didn’t happen.
I love shopping and anything and everything pertaining to clothing and accessories. I love looking my best wherever I go it, whether it’s going out for a night on the town hitting up every club I come across or just going to the grocery store. I’m always in heels, unless I’m at the gym or at the beach.
At dinner in Diamonds Steakhouse on the Carnival Liberty. The steak and lobster were amazing!
I hope that through this blog I can share my ideas about fashion and how they inspire my life and how they can also inspire yours.  After all a girl’s wardrobe is her greatest arsenal.
Ready to leave the port of Miami and get this show on the road…or sea in this case.
